The National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced in 1969 with the primary aim of fostering the development of students' personalities and characters through voluntary community service.

The NSS unit at University Institute of Technology - Paravur was established on 2023. Our unit is dedicated to a variety of impactful initiatives, including Youth Skill programs, Yoga Day celebrations, and Literature Day events. A key highlight of our activities is Environment Day, during which we focus on planting trees and cleaning the surroundings to promote environmental sustainability. In addition, we organize community service programs such as anti-drug awareness campaigns, and blood donation camps. These activities are designed to positively impact both our campus and the broader community.
